PUBLISHER FAQs

Following are the answers to our most frequently asked questions. If by chance you can't find the information you need here, please do not hesitate to contact PubSupport for assistance.

Q: How long have you been in business?
A: HostingClicks launched as an independent service on the 1st of September, 2002. This date, however, does not begin to qualify how experienced the HostingClicks team are in dealing with the delicate online advertising market. HostingClicks is a service of iOnline Pty Ltd; an online media firm that has been operating profitably during its past six quarters despite operating through the well-publicized lull in online ad spending. Our staff are well versed in all facets of online media and marketing, and bring this experience to the fore when managing campaigns on behalf of our clients.

Q: Why should I choose you over another network?
A: While there are dozens of reputable online advertising networks in operation, few are entirely centered around the servicing of a single demographic channel. If you manage a quality content-based site that is aimed directly at webmasters and other technology professionals, our network will very likely provide sales representation for you and your audience that is superior top that you may receive from the larger online media plays.

Q: How will we be able to track what I've earned?
A: All publishers are given password-protected access to their accounts online. Through this, you'll be able to manage certain aspects of your account, while also generating activity and earnings reports. Do note that the earnings figures presented here are estimates, and may be adjusted during our monthly audit of traffic quality. They do, however, provide a relatively good indication as to how much you are likely to receive in your next pay check.

Q: Will I be an employee of your company?
A: No. Our publishers are not considered employees or partners of HostingClicks or iOnline Pty Ltd. You will be considered an independent contractor of our firm, and thus will not be eligible to receive benefits (medical, 401k, etc) beyond your advertising earnings.

Q: Can I host your ads on another site?
A: With our prior permission, yes. Choosing to place our ad code on a site that has not been approved, or on a section of your site that is in breach of our terms of service is grounds for account termination. As such, until you've received explicit acceptance of another site into your account, please place our ad code only on suitable pages within the single domainspace that was approved.

Q: What type of sites to you represent?
A: We only represent quality, independent web properties that are explicitly targeted to the webmaster/programmer/online marketer/IT professional audiences. All member sites must be composed entirely in English, and must source the majority of their traffic from the United States. At any time, you may view our complete list of participating sites simply by viewing our Network Gallery.

Q: Why wasn't my site accepted?
A: If you did not receive an acceptance notice from us within 72 hours of your application being submitted, then you can fairly assume that the application was denied. The reasons behind this may vary from us having reached our representation limit (in the interests of maximising the value of our existing inventory, we do not over-represent), to the website not having been established for long enough or having an audience large and desirable enough at this stage, through to subjective measures of a site's likely value within our present line-up of advertisers and web properties. If you have been denied, you may feel free to re-apply for a second review one month (30 days) after your first application.

Q: Am I eligible to become a member?
A: If you operate a suitable site, are based in the US, UK, Canada, Japan or New Zealand (Australian support coming soon), and are over the age of 18, then yes; you may freely apply for membership.

Q: When will I be paid?
A: We issue payments via PayPal to all of our publishers once monthly. You will be paid no more than 30 days from the end of the month in which your earnings exceeded $50 in total. That is, if you earn $25 in June, and then $35 in July, you will receive a combined payment of $60 by the end of August. If, on the other hand, you generated $120 in June, there would be no reason to roll-over your earnings, and you would be paid the full amount by the end of July.

Q: How will I be paid?
A: You will be paid via PayPal. If you do not have a PayPal account, please apply for one before joining our network as this is the only method through which we issue payments presently. (US currency check support coming soon)

Q: How much will I be paid?
A: HostingClicks publishers are paid on a revenue-share basis. You will receive 50% of the gross value attained by HostingClicks from the delivery of ads to your site. Advertisers may book campaigns on a CPC (cost-per-click) or CPM (cost-per-1000-impressions) basis.

Q: Can I block a campaign that I find objectionable?
A: Yes, you may; with the exception of our default/filler campaigns. If a campaign competes directly with services that you, yourself offer, or is otherwise considered offensive or intrusive, you may opt-out of that campaign by emailing PubSupport.
